TWH Library Competition Winner!

Congratulations to Elizabeth Hooper, Staff Nurse on Ward 22 at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, who has won our recommend the Library to a friend competition!  Elizabeth's entry stood out and she wins a £20 Westfield/ Royal Victoria Place shopping centre voucher for her effort.  The competition was run in conjunction with the TWH Library Open Day and we had more than 30 entries to choose from.  Here is the winning entry:

Top Ten Films for Medics

Consultant Dib Datta gave a very informative lecture on Friday 23rd September 2011 on the top ten films that medics should watch. This sits well with the work the Trust is doing on Medical Humanities, and will no doubt help inform future film choices for The Dress Circle Film Society.

We now offer a completely tailored solution for managing current awareness and knowledge services…..

NETVIBES is an RSS aggregator service. It allows us to bring in content, topic by topic, from Pubmed searches, e-journals, Royal College websites, newspapers and local resources such as our book catalogue.

We can bookmark any website, add search forums, calendars, and teaching materials. Each time new content is added to any of the sites we have included within your topic, it will appear in bite-sized format for you to read.

Reminder about BMJ Case Reports

Due to popular demand, the library service purchased access to BMJ Case Reports in late 2010. Please make use of this valuable resource which allows junior doctors to get their research published in a well-respected journal, often for the first time. You can also read other published case reports.

Go to http://casereports.bmj.com and log in with your NHS Athens account. If you wish to submit a case report, please ask library staff for the submission code.
