LITERATUE SEARCH TRAINING

FREE TRAINING SESSIONS, in how to do effective literature searching, will be available at The Library, Woodlands House, Pembury on the 2nd Tuesday of every month with effect from Tuesday, 13th March between 1 pm and 2 pm. If you are interested please contact a member of staff on 01892 633119.

Should you wish one to one training at any other time contact us and we will arrange a time suitable to you.

Workplace Training

The Outreach Library Service is for NHS staff working in the community in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. I can assist you to access books, journals and electronic resources, and to help you get the information you want, without the need to visit the Health Library.

I can introduce you to a range of useful health knowledge resources and point you towards sources for evidence-based. I can also help you with Athens registration and to make the best use of the NHS databases and electronic journals.

I provide a flexible service and sessions can take place at your workplace at a time to suit you. The training is informal and tailored to your interests and the time you have available.

• Finding quality health information on the Internet
• Finding the evidenceSearching healthcare databases
• Searching the National Library for Health
• Literature searching skills
• Using e-mail effectively
