To help your clinicians respond to the spread of H1N1 and to protect immunosuppressed patients receiving treatment in your hospital, I have put together the following information from ClinicalKey with valuable guidance to face a possible H1N1 infection and a simple Athens login instruction for your users.

Royal Marsden Manual- Procedure of the Month

ROYAL MARSDEN MANUAL ONLINE:

Procedure of the Month - February

  Venepuncture

  Did you know?

It is more important than ever for nurses to assure the public, patients and their families that the care they provide is based on the best available evidence.  As nurses seek to improve care, it is essential they refer to evidence-based resources in the work they carry out and critically analyse and adapt in the light of current knowledge.

However in the busy world of clinical practice whether that be in a ward, unit or in the community, it can be challenging to find time to search for the latest evidence, and this is where The Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures can help.  The online edition of this essential evidence-based resource is fully mobile optimized and provides the nurse with off-site access to support Nurse revalidation. The Royal Marsden Manual Online contributes to global healthcare goals:

Improving Hospital Performance
Improving Patient Outcomes
Reducing Length of Stay
Supporting the Nurse through Revalidation and Training

The Royal Marsden Manual Online is available via the Trust intranet on-site at - http://mtwintranet/directory/departments/library-knowledge-services/library-resources
Or off-site with an OpenAthens account at http://www.rmmonline.co.uk/
