#MTWBookClub Questions Released

📢📚ATTENTION bookworms 🪱📚📢
The discussion questions for our upcoming #MTWbookClub club have just been released!
  1. Does it matter if you don't know (or don't get on with) your neighbours? Should Ove just be left to mind his own business?
  2. Should the State and 'the men in white shirts' have attempted to take care of Rune and Sonja, even if they didn't have their permission? To what extent is care a social responsibility rather than a personal choice?
  3. Often the greatest heroes don't get the glory. Ove spends his whole life refusing to 'make a fuss', even when he saves lives and shows incredible generosity. Are we too obsessed with glory and recognition now that we live in the Age of Celebrity?
  4. Ove and Sonja seem to prove that opposites attract; is this still true?
  5. In terms of technology, relationships, and lifestyles, 'things aren't what they used to be'. Is this for better or for worse?
Save the date 📆03.04, 12-1pm

#MTWBookClub Update The book we are reading for our next #MTWBookClub is: A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Blackman 📚

Save the date📅 03/04 ⏰ 12pm-1pm!

At first sight, Ove is almost certainly the grumpiest man you will ever meet. He thinks himself surrounded by idiots – neighbours who can't reverse a trailer properly, joggers, shop assistants who talk in code, and the perpetrators of the vicious coup d'etat that ousted him as Chairman of the Residents' Association. He will persist in making his daily inspection rounds of the local streets.

But isn't it rare, these days, to find such old-fashioned clarity of belief and deed? Such unswerving conviction about what the world should be, and a lifelong dedication to making it just so?

In the end, you will see, there is something about Ove that is quite irresistible...
