August Bank Holiday (Monday 30th August)


The Library and Knowledge Services will be closed for the Bank Holiday.


Usual service resumes at both sites on Tuesday 31st August.


24/7 Access Fob holders can continue to use the library as usual over the long weekend.

Free Trial to Primal Pictures Clinical Package!

The Trust Library Service has a Free 30 day trial to the Ovid Primal Pictures Clinical Package. Visit http://ovidsp.ovid.com, log in with your NHS Athens account and click the Primal Pictures tab.
The package includes 11 interactive 3D Human Anatomy Modules, such as Anatomy for Urology, Interactive Hand Therapy and Sports Injuries.

Trial to BMJ Case Reports starts next week!

The Trust Library Service has arranged a Free 30 day trial to BMJ Case Reports starting on 23rd August.

BMJ Case Reports is an online community that enables junior doctors to take their first steps in having their case reports and research published. It also contains over 1,500 articles which have been peer reviewed.

New Medical Careers Website

NHS Medical Careers (www.medicalcareers.nhs.uk ) is a four-step career planning guide designed to assist trainee doctors in understanding the options available for choosing their future career as a doctor in the NHS.

It is developed by the KSS Deanery and includes a variety of career tools and information.
