Childhood Obesity Updates
The National Library for Public Health, along with members of the National Obesity Observatory, have updated the Childhood Obesity: surveillance and prevention annual evidence update for 2009.
This year's update includes five systematic reviews on surveillance and 26 on a variety of preventative measures including physical activity, active transport, and diet and nutrition.
Dr Louisa Ells has written a brief paper on the evidence published in the last year.

The latest Annual Evidence Update on Colorectal Cancer will run from 6th to 10th April and will coincide with Bowel Cancer Awareness month. The Annual Evidence Update consists of all relevant systematic reviews and national guidelines that have emerged in the twelve months since last year's Annual Evidence Update. These are the topic areas covered this year:
* Causes, risks and prevention
* Assessment and diagnosis
* Treatment and disease management
* Service delivery and standards
